THE GRAND PRIZE

The winners of the “Make My Movement App” Contest have their custom designed movement mobile app built, launched, and available on the MOVE Improve Store (a $10,000 value).

There is no cost associated to applicants that advance through any stage of the judging process. Winners will be announced on June 1, 2020.

APPLICATION ROUND

Applications are accepted until April 30, 2020 (by 11:59PM).

DEVELOPMENT ROUND

The top twenty (20) submissions work with the MOVE Improve Team to make their mobile app a reality, showcasing specialized movement knowledge and expertise on MOVE Improve for iPad.

JUDGING ROUND

The top ten (10) finalists have their sample mobile app reviewed by a select panel of movement specialists as it goes through rigorous testing with real users. The top three (3) mobile apps are developed for distribution on the MOVE Improve Store.

FAQ

Is there a cost to enter into the contest?

There is no cost to participate in the “Make My Mobile App” contest. This includes the Qualifying Round, Development Round, and Judging Round.

Can a company/organization enter the contest?

Yes. One person must be identified as the team “lead”.

Can I submit more than one application?

Yes. Each application is reviewed under its own merit. The most compelling applications will progress. A maximum of two (2) applications per individual or company/organization can progress to advancing rounds.

How does MOVE Improve work?

MOVE Improve is an iOS mobile application (currently available on iPad) for teaching and mastering technical skills. For more information, click here.

Do I need to own an iPad?

No. Access to an iPad is recommended (to better understand how the MOVE Improve platform functions).

How is the prize value determined?

The design and development of a single MOVE Improve title is valued at $10,000 CAD (not including applicable taxes). This includes the ability to distribute across multiple platforms in the future (e.g., tablets and smartphones; iOS and Android).

What is the MOVE Improve Store?

The MOVE Improve Store is where all available titles for sale are featured for use with the MOVE Improve platform. Authors receive a percentage of all sales of their developed content.

Will I be notified if my application proceeds to the next round?

All applications will receive notice of their result at the end of each round. Notice will be sent via email (aoh@moveimprove.org).
